Please read the text below carefully and in its entirety:
THERE IS NO COST TO YOU
This job opportunity is the US is made possible for foreign candidates such as yourself through the H2B visa program. The H2B program allows US employers who meet specific regulatory requirements to hire foreign nationals to the US to fill temporary jobs. This program has existed for over 40 years.
The regulations which govern this program make it clear that all costs are to be supported by the US Employer, including reimbursement for the US Visa as well as the plane ticket to the US and back to your home country upon completion of your contract.

THE US EMPLOYER
The employer on whose behalf we are doing the interviews is THE CLUB AT IBIS
The Club at Ibis is the 3rd largest club private in Florida and perhaps in the top 10 largest private clubs in the United States. The club is an award-winning residential club community comprised of 33 distinct neighborhoods that offer a variety of home styles and prices. In all, they have approximately 1,900 residences. The club also offers 3 Nicklaus-family designed golf courses, 16 Har-Tru hydrogid tennis courts, four pickleball courts, an innovative fitness facility, resort-style pool and relaxing spa facilities. They have more than 5 restaurants that Ibis members can dine at.
To learn more about the club, please go to www.petrinagroup.com/ibis; please check out all links and make sure you are as familiar as you can be prior to the interview with Mr. Petrina. You will not be tested on your knowledge, but knowing more about the club than less will enable you to ask good questions.
HOUSING, MEALS AND SALARY
The Club at Ibis will provide housing for all its foreign employees, like yourself. This means that you will not need to look for an apartment. Moreover, the club will also provide transportation between the housing and the club, at no cost to you.
The housing will be offered at the Portofino Apartment complex in Palm Beach Gardens. To learn more about the complex, click here. The cost of the housing comes to $140 per week per person. The apartments will be put at your disposal fully furnished; all you would need to bring with you is your towel and toothbrush.
The club offers its employees two meals per day (one meal per shift worked) at no cost. When you do not work (your day(s) off) you will have to buy your own food.
The club offers competitive wages. This season the hourly wages started at $13.28 per hour and went as high as over $20 for the most experienced employees. Overtime is paid, in line with US laws, after 40 hrs per week at 1.5 times the salary. This means that if an employee makes $14.00 per hour, after the first 40 hours of work per week, he/she will earn $14.00 x 1.5 = $21.00 per hour.
The club is engaged in an aggressive strategy aimed at increasing the salaries of those who exceed performance expectations through salary increases or bonuses. Read more about their salaries here.
LENGTH OF CONTRACT
As mentioned above, the H2B visa program allows foreign workers to work in the US temporarily for the duration of the season as determined by the US employer.
In this instance, Ibis’ seasonality starts on October 1, 2020, and will end on May 31, 2021.
If you were to be hired by Ibis, you can expect to travel to the US in late September / early October and return to your home country in late May or early June the following year.
WHY ARE INTERVIEWS SO EARLY?
Because members of the Ibis management team are planning a recruiting trip to Dublin in mid-April. Interviews in Dublin will be invitation-only; the zoom interviews with Mr. Petrina are conducted early so that the proper number of candidates can be selected and subsequently invited to the interviews in Dublin.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER THE ZOOM INTERVIEW WITH MR. PETRINA?
After Mr. Petrina finalizes his interviews in late March, he will confer with the management team at Ibis and, together, will select the candidates who are to be invited to the interviews in Dublin.
Mr. Petrina will accompany the Ibis team in Dublin.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER THE INTERVIEWS IN DUBLIN?
Following the interviews in Dublin, the Ibis management team will make its selection and extend offers to the selected candidates. This would normally happen later in April or the early half of May. Our team will then work with the selected candidates to prepare them for the visa interview which is likely to take place sometime in September. Travel to the US will follow after each candidate has received his/her visa.
ARE THERE OTHER IRISH CANDIDATES WORKING AT IBIS?
Ibis has been using the H2B visa program for years and every year it hires approximately 150 foreign nationals. Many of them are Irish.
At the appropriate time, we can introduce you to some of the current or former Irish employees at Ibis so that you can ask any questions of them you may be interested in.
