ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Standing before America as golf's iconic showcase, Liberty National Golf Club is situated along the Hudson River in Jersey City, N.J., with striking views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Manhattan skyline.

Since opening in 2006, the golf club continues to be guided by the vision and leadership of former Reebok Founder/Chairman & CEO Paul Fireman and his son Dan Fireman. Only a fifteen-minute boat ride from lower Manhattan and located within the cultural and financial epicenter of the world, Liberty National and its membership reflect this inimitable environment.

Our 18-hole Championship Golf Course reflects the detailed expertise of 1992 U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite and renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp, who collaborated on the design. Kite & Cupp's parkland links style layout of Liberty National is dramatic and yet traditional, taking into account the site's cultural heritage, aesthetic principles, and elements of light and shadow. Golfers enjoy magnificent views of the Statue of Liberty, the New York Harbor, Manhattan Skyline, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.

The club's clubhouse, guest villas, teaching center, and "Cafe 12" halfway house were designed by Lindsay Newman Architecture and Design, while the golf course was designed by Robert E. Cupp and Tom Kite.

The construction cost more than $250 million, making it among the most expensive golf courses in history.  The club features amenities such as an on-site helistop, direct ferry service to and from Manhattan, a spa, and a restaurant.
